Easy Cranberry Sauce recipe

This is one of the easiest cranberry sauces you could ever make - just three ingredients combine to create a sweet yet tart cranberry sauce perfect for pairing with sweet and savoury dishes this Christmas.

  • 400g fresh cranberries
  • 250g caster sugar
  • 225ml orange juice

  1. Dissolve the sugar in the orange juice in a saucepan over a medium heat. Once dissolved, add the cranberries.

  2. Cook the cranberries for around ten minutes, or until they start to pop.

  3. Remove from the heat and allow to cool. As the sauce cools, it will thicken.

You could use half caster sugar and half brown sugar to create a syrupy sauce, and you could also add a little cinnamon for extra flavour. This recipe serves 12.
