Cranberry Granola recipe

This sweet and crunchy granola is very simple to make. Don't be fooled into thinking that this is a super healthy breakfast, however, as it's full of honey, but that just serves to make it taste even better!


  • 350g porridge oats
  • 425g runny honey
  • 75ml vegetable oil
  • 175g wheatgerm
  • 150g chopped nuts of your choice - walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds etc.
  • 125g dried cranberries
  • 1 tsp. vanilla essence
  • Pinch cinnamon


  1. In one bowl, stir together the oats, wheatgerm, nuts and cranberries. Spread out onto a baking tray. Heat the oven to 150C.

  2. In another bowl, mix together the honey, oil, vanilla and cinnamon. Drizzle all over the granola mix, then bake for 40 minutes, stirring every ten minutes or so.

  3. Leave the granola to cool on the tray completely before storing in an airtight tub.

You could either serve this granola with yoghurt, soak it with milk or drizzle it with honey for a tasty breakfast. This recipe makes around ten servings.
